We are not a crisis hotline.  However, in an emergency a Counselor can often be reached immediately. 

 

When you call you will speak with our receptionist  who will take your name and number and provide your information to the Counselor on Call, who will contact you within 24 hours to gather basic information and to set up an appointment for an intake meeting.

 

The intake meeting will provide both you and the counselor the opportunity to determine if the VBS Counseling Center is best suited for your needs,  and will help us pinpoint the best counselor to be of service for you and your goals. 

 

Moving forward, you will meet regularly with your appointed counselor at a mutually agreed upon time.

Clients are seen by appointment only by Telehealth or in person counseling in confidential private or group sessions in our discreet, professional offices on the lower level of Valley Beth Shalom Synagogue in Encino, California. Walk-in appointments are not available.

 

Your financial situation will not prevent you from getting the help and support you need.

 

No one is turned away from the VBS Counseling Center for financial reasons. We will work with you individually to determine a fee you can comfortably afford. We do not accept insurance. Payments may be tax-deductible, depending on your financial circumstances.
